problems that the folks you were just spoking to. martha: there s a lot of people in this country, pretty much everybody, would like to see lower prescription drug prices. there s a lot of concern about some of the way this bill goes about doing that and that it could hurt some of the research and development that some of these companies are doing. i think what you re hearing from these folks, they want something that is going to impact more quickly. i think one of the arguments against that is that the fed didn t act soon enough. the administration didn t respond to the supply chain problems soon enough. we were told all of this was going to be temporary. from the supply chain, i remember hearing, it s going to work its way out in the next couple months or so. nothing to worry about. now they say look what you ve told us isn t necessarily our experience and we want you to understand. what they re saying, they want a didn t form of leadership. they want somebody else. let s talk ab

they felt like, you know, the fed didn t act soon enough. you certainly thought the fed should have acted sooner. any concern that the fed is now going to overreact, raise interest rates too high, while also pulling money out of the market, the quantitative tightening. is there a bigger risk of them doing too much or do you still worry that they re going to do too little? i think they have got to find a balance. but, you know, chuck, when the doctor prescribes antibiotics, if you stop taking them the moment you feel better, it can often be a mistake to not carry through. and if the worst thing we could do would be to start to stop inflation and not do enough to slay the dragon. so i think the fed has to be very, very careful here on that
