Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Parts of southeastern Minnesota saw nearly 8 inches of snow from the storm system that moved through the region on Sunday.
The highest totals reported to the National Weather Service were in areas closer to the Iowa border. 7.5 inches fell near Mabel in Fillmore County, while further to the east in Houston County, Spring Grove reported 6.3 inches of accumulation. Those communities were on the northern edge of a heavy snow band that mainly northern Iowa, where Riceville saw 8.3 inches of new snow, and almost 8 inches was reported near Decorah.
