Announcing the Winners of the Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards By Ellyn Kail on February 19, 2021 After reviewing hundreds of outstanding submissions, we’re delighted to announce the thirteen winners of the 6th Annual Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards. This year’s jury selected ten photographers to exhibit their work as part of a poster run in select locations throughout the streets of East London. Three photographers were chosen to be part of the FORMAT International Photography Festival in Derby. The three photographers headed to the FORMAT International Photography Festival in Derby are Florence Goupil, Felix Schoeppner, and Christopher Sims, hailing from Peru, Germany, and the United States, respectively. Meet the Jury: Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Judge Cheriss May By Ellyn Kail on January 6, 2021 © Cheriss May As part of this year’s Emerging Photography Awards, Feature Shoot is offering two major exhibition opportunities to up-and-coming photographers of all genres working across the world. Three to five photographers will show their work at the renowned FORMAT21 Festival, the UK’s leading international contemporary festival of photography, and ten photographers will be selected to be part of a group poster run in select locations around East London. This year’s esteemed panel of judges includes prominent photographers, photo editors, photo directors, curators, and more. We were honored to have a chance to interview one of our judges, Cheriss May, about her experiences in photography, education, and advocacy and the places where they intersect.
