Barrow grandma who won Christmas gifts selflessly gives some away

Brenda Harrison, of St Matthews Mews in Barrow, won The Mail s Christmas competition, which offered a host of festive prizes including: a Christmas tree with lights and decoration; a garland and a wreath from Beetham Nurseries; festive afternoon tea at Macdonald Old England Hotel; a three-course meal for four people at Romneys; a Christmas bouquet from Fearon Flowers; festive penguin decorations from Peter Hall; a silver pendant necklace from Fultons Lakes Jewellery; Christmas crackers; and a bottle of sherry cask finished whisky from Lakes Distillery and a £50 meat voucher to spend at Marshall’s Butchers. The 73-year-old, who is retired from administration work, said she did not expect the phone call to say she had won the bundle of prizes.
