Pakistan News: GILGIT-BALTISTAN [PoK]: At least 20 people were killed and 21 others injured after a passenger bus veered off a narrow mountain road and fell into a r.
The driver lost control of the vehicle which then overturned and landed near the banks of the Indus River which runs along the highway, the official said. There were 43 passengers aboard the bus when the accident took place, the official said.
The bus was traveling from a city near the capital, Islamabad, to the mountainous region of Gilgit-Baltistan, near the Chinese border. Road accidents are common in Pakistan due to poor roads and driver training.
