TYLER, Texas Detectives have determined the location of a shooting that occurred Wednesday.
According to Tyler Police, the shooting occurred behind businesses in the 1200 block of SSW Loop 323 in Tyler.
Friends of the victim originally said they were and walking around Rose Rudman Park when their friend was shot by someone they did not know.
The victim, 18-year-old James Sutherland, was shot in the chest but is expected to recover.
The victim and witnesses have been uncooperative in this case.
The shooting is still under investigation.

TYLER, Texas The Tyler Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.
According to Tyler Police, on Wednesday January 6 at 9:30 p.m. officers responded to Tyler Complete Care on Capital Drive on report of a victim shot in the chest.
The victim was transported to a Tyler hospital and has been identified as 18-year-old James Sutherland.
Friends of the victim said they were from out of town and walking around Rose Rudman Park when their friend was shot by someone they did not know.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas A two-vehicle crash resulted in the death of one person Wednesday evening.
According to a preliminary crash report, 21-year-old Anthony Scott Lester, of Canton, was traveling westbound in a 2012 Chevrolet Imapla on SH 63 while a 2018 Toyota Tundra was travailing eastbound on the same roadway.
Lester drove across the center stripe striking the Tundra.
Lester was pronounced at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, 37-year-old Alberto Cruz of Ben Wheeler, was transported to a Tyler hospital and released.
Three passengers, Emerlin Morales, 31 of Ben Wheeler, along with a 7-year-old and 3-year-old, were also transported to a Tyler hospital in stable condition.
Lindale Police arrest 4 people on aggravated kidnapping charges

LINDALE, Texas The Lindale Police Department has arrested 4 people in connection with aggravated kidnapping, organized criminal activity and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to police, on Monday December7, the department received a complaint from a citizen stating they had been taken against their will by individuals they knew while a weapon was displayed.
After arriving at another location in the city, with the weapon still displayed, the individuals responsible preceded to assault the victim.

According to Rusk Rural WSC, Their system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling.
Rusk Rural Water Supply has rescinded the boil water notices issued December 22.
