The Election Commission’s extraordinary measure to allow electors to cast their votes by holding a re-poll on Monday at Indiganatta polling station, following violence during Friday’s polling, has paid off as many voters turned up at the booth since morning and exercised their franchise. By 5pm, 71 individuals had exercised their franchise out of 528 voters allotted to the polling booth which is set up at the government primary school in Indiganatta. 13.7% voting was recorded in this booth. Out of 71 voters who voted, 39 were women and 32 were men.
