AUBURN - Despite online outrage and calls to Town Hall and the venue, Super Happy Fun America’s controversial “Refounding Fathers Festival” event is expected to take place Saturday at the Century Sportsman’s Club. John Hugo, president of Super Happy Fun America, said Super Happy Fun America is a right-of-center, civil rights group focused on preserving the Constitution, pushing back against the “gender madness movement” and fighting cultural Marxism. The group promoted the Auburn event as a fundraiser for Heroes of January 6th, a reference to the attack at the U.S. Capitol.  Hugo said the group s goal is to bring like-minded conservative groups together. He said he expects a huge crowd of 20 different groups to show up at the sportsman’s club this weekend.
