Georgette Gee” (Nahom) Morey went home to the Lord on Christmas Eve. She fought a valiant battle against the horrible Covid-19 virus and ultimately succumbed to it. Her family is truly heartbroken but can take comfort that they were blessed with a very strong mother, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, and friend who taught them many things in life, especially in terms of honor, values, and faith. Georgette was born in Danbury, CT to David and Adell Nahom on July 5, 1927.
Georgette was a bright young woman who graduated from High School at age 16 and married Emil Morey in 1947 at age 20. They worked together side by side for many years, first in the IGA grocery store they owned which had been started by Emil’s Dad, and later, in the Real Estate business which Emil created in 1953 and which ultimately grew to 5 offices in Connecticut and one in New York City.

Oldham law firm Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers have donated over £600 worth of food to Oldham Foodbank in time for Christmas.
The firm says that learning about the plight of Oldham families and the national food poverty crisis the option of donating food for those in need felt more appropriate than ever this year rather than gifting presents, as is the company s usual practice.
