The competitors for the evening were Chef Tammy, who ran Twisted Sister and is now based out of Fieldstone. Chef James, a non-profit foodie whose base is escaping me as I write this, and the celebrity chef of the evening, Chef Yachecia. She was the one who competed against Shawn Niles at the beginning of Master Chef a few years back and ended up taking the entire competition!
To say I was pumped to go with my Mom as my plus one was an understatement. You can grab wine before the games began and I was offered a bottle instead of a glass, said no, but in hindsight, almost always you should get the bottle. Three rounds, one glass per and you are really doing it right.

GETTING THERE

Just over two hours from downtown Seattle, Yakima is essentially a straight shot along Interstate 90 East, passing through the famed Snoqualmie ski area, mountainous Cle Elum and beloved Ellensburg until branching onto Interstate 82.
