False advertising consumer protection lawsuits for PFAS in consumer products are on the rise. Nicknamed forever chemicals since they don't break down, PFAS are man-made chemicals that have been used in commercial products, industrial processes worldwide since 1940s.
Firefighters participating in the program will have their blood tested for PFAS to determine whether, and to what extent, elevated PFAS levels have negative health implications.
