Woman killed, husband injured in attack ‘by UP chairman’ in Cumilla Star Digital Report Star Digital Report A woman has been killed and three men were injured in an attack allegedly carried out by a local UP chairman and his men in Cumilla s Meghna upazila last night. The deceased was identified as Nazma Begum (45). Her husband Abdus Salam and brothers-in-law Sirajul Islam and Faruk were injured in the incident, reports our correspondent quoting Abdul Majid, officer-in-charge of Meghna Police Station. Locals alleged that Bhaorkhola Union Parishad Chairman Faruk Abbasi and his men attacked the family around 7:30 last night. They also said that the chairman and his supporters have been extorting money from them and conducting other criminal activities in the area for a long time.
