Islamabad : The citizens of the federal capital on Sunday demanded action against amateur drivers, causing a constant nuisance for the locals, especially during ‘Sehr’ and ‘Iftar’ timings.
They urged the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to tighten noose around such miscreants to avoid mishaps ratio on the federal capital roads and avenues. Amateur drivers are roaming freely on the roads and posing a serious threat to the lives of other commuters, Farhan Ahmed, a motorist said while pointing out slackness of the ITP, which was least bothered to take action against them.
“How can a young boy without a driving license be allowed to drive on the roads of Islamabad. Action must be taken against their parents who are not concerned about the safety of their children,” he said while making a call for rectification measures at the earliest.
