CityPlace Burlington developers have agreed to pay the Vermont Prevailing Wage in an effort to get the City Council to sign off on an agreement that would end a lawsuit alleging breach of contract.
The city sued last September, claiming the developers were trying to get out of commitments made in 2017, including reconnecting St. Paul and Pine streets to Cherry Street. The lawsuit has stalled the $175 million project.
The City Council voted to table the settlement agreement that would end the lawsuit last week after labor unions insisted CityPlace use union workers on the job.
