Once again we had melting on tuesday, so an overnight refreeze is possible and icy spots on some side streets and sidewalks. Not as bad as it was on monday but we still want you to think about that. Also ice safety. This is a good one to keep in mind especially if you have kids after school thinking about going out and playing hockey on a pond or Something Like that. No ice is completely safe. You should only go out on ice thats monitored which in most cases is not around here and it needs to be four to 7inches thick to walk on the thickness varies especially this afternoon as we get up to about 40 for a high. Morning. Its funny, too, because temperatures right now, tam, are still in the cold zone but i agree with you you stepped outside and it was nothing like it was the last couple mornings. Weve had some cloud cover overnight but you can see that breaking up and i think were going to see a fair amount of sunshine early. Over all fairly sunny conditions with occasional clouds popping through. The temperatures this morning are still cold. Theyre just not as cold as theyve been the last couple days. 17 degrees in philadelphia, 14 in allentown right now, 16 in reading, 13 in wilmington. Only 11 in trenton and 10 in millville but of course theres not much wind this morning so were not worrying about wind chills and it does feel like were getting a break. Boy do we get a break this afternoon. Well zoom this morning with those temperatures. By 8 oclock well be at 21. By noon up to 34 and by 3 oclock, thats your high today, 39 degrees. So almost 40.
