The women-centric CCC gained importance as the health workers, during the door-to-door survey for identifying people with symptoms, had come across many women neglecting their health and not disclosing symptoms because of domestic obligations. The survey found that women in home isolation were not taking proper rest and getting nutritional supplements that were essential for recovering from the infection.

Bags three gold medalsat RGUHS Convocation February 10, 2021 Dr. Safiya from Farooqia College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, who bagged three gold medals, is seen receiving the certificate from President Ram Nath Kovind at the 23rd Convocation Ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) recently. Dr. Safiya received three gold medals for securing 1st Rank in overall PharmD, 1st rank in 5th PharmD and 1st rank in 3rd PharmD. Apart from this, she has secured 4th rank in 2nd PharmD, 6th rank in 4th PharmD and 21 ranks in individual subjects during the course of her PharmD study.

About 78% of the 111 students who will bag gold medals at the 23rd annual convocation of RGUHS on Sunday are women. The three students to top the university are all women. They have bagged three gold medals each. At the convocation, 33,629 students will be awarded their degrees and diplomas. Thirty students will receive their PhDs while 115 will be awarded super-speciality degrees. A total of 5,834 will get their post-graduate degrees and 351, post-graduate diplomas. Also getting their degrees and diplomas are 79 students for fellowship courses, nine for certificate courses, and 27,221 for under-graduate courses. S. Sachidanan
