WA Police broke up the ticketed event, held at The George in Perth’s CBD, after responding to a noise complaint and finding around 300 people gathered inside hidden behind blacked out windows.
Vinod Parihar, 41, was the approved manager at The George on the night of the offending, and allegedly helped his co-accused Farooq Latief, 25, organise the party that was a serious breach of a direction under state of emergency laws.
Partygoers were allegedly dancing and drinking without masks, behind blackout curtains and locked doors, contrary to snap restrictions that had forced cancellations on most other events.
