The 'rail roko' agitation has been called by farmers demanding the dismissal and arrest of Union Minister Ajay Misra in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
In a statement, the umbrella body of farmer unions spearheading the farmers agitation against the Centre s three agri laws, said protests will only be intensified until justice is secured in the Lakhimpur Kheri case.
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) will hold up rail traffic for six hours on October 18, to protest against lack of action against Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, who is an accused in the Lakhimpur incident in which nine persons, including four farmers were killed on October 3.
