Farmers protesting at two border points between Punjab and Haryana will resume their "Delhi Chalo" march today after they rejected the Centre's proposal for procuring pulses, maize and cotton at the MSP by government agencies for five years.
Punjab DGP has asked to stop the movement of heavy earthmoving equipment, including JCBs, Poclaines, Tippers, and Hydras, towards the Punjab-Haryana border at Khanauri and Shambu. The letter was sent to Range ADGPs, IGPS/DIGs, Commissioners of Police, and Senior Superintendents of Police. The Haryana DGP had previously requested the Punjab counterpart to stop the movement of earth-moving machinery towards the Shambhu and Khanauri border.
