(SPRINGFIELD) The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is continuing with its third and final phase of the annual Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS). The January to April survey asks producers to provide in-depth information about their operating revenues, production costs, and household characteristics, with all the information remaining confidential. The expense data gathered in ARMS will be published in the annual Farm Production Expenditures report later this year in July.

MAIL RESULTS: Due to COVID-19, USDA-NASS surveyors will be calling to follow up on mailed surveys. Around 1,600 Minnesota farmers will be contacted to participate in the 2020 Agricultural Resources Management Survey. In Minnesota, 1,600 farmers will be contacted for the survey.

Beginning in February, USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will spend several months gathering information about farm economics and production practices from farmers and ranchers across Minnesota, as the agency conducts the third and final phase of the 2020 Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS).
Questionnaires were mailed to producers in December. To protect the health of producers, partners and employees, NASS is unable to work with farmers in person to complete this survey.
