This is the cbs evening news. Suspect good evening, everyone i am jeff glor where with the western edition of the broadcast. A deadly chain of events in las vegas this morning when it was over at least five people were dead, including two police officers. The violence began at a pizza restaurant and ended in a nearby walmart. We begin tonight with Scott Daniels of our affiliate klis. It was 11 30 local time when a man and a woman entered cicis restaurant and opened fire. He was wearing a bullet proof vest and had a hire powered rifle. He said this is a revolution. He shot two police officers, with the head. Our preliminary investigation shows both officers were shot, however, one officer was able to fire back. They then grabbed the down officers weapon and ran across to the walmart, shooting someone near the front door. I saw the guns in the hands.
