Fans of Nancy Mitford s novel The Pursuit of Love were left highly unimpressed with the BBC s adaptation as the three-part drama series made its debut on TV this evening.
Viewers ended up switching off the drama this evening as they brutally branded it drivel and a travesty .
The three-part drama adaptation of the novel follows two cousins living in 1920s Oxfordshire, with Linda Radlett, played by Lily James, dreaming of adventure while Fanny Logan (Emily Beecham) hopes for stability after she was abandoned by her mother.
