Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has set a record by generating 9,55,489 e-cards of beneficiaries from 22 February to 16 March 2021 under AB- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna. It was disclosed by Principal Secretary Health & Family Welfare Hussan Lal in a high-powered meeting at Paryas Bhawan Sector-38 Chandigarh.
While presiding over the meeting, Hussan Lal has directed especially the Punjab Mandi Board & Food & Civil Supply Department to expedite the procedure of generating e-cards of beneficiaries as both departments cover the largest number of beneficiaries under this insurance scheme.

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], February 15 (ANI): An inter-departmental meeting of the Punjab government on Monday decided on a slew of measures to strengthen the investigation and prosecution machinery for handling criminal offences against women and children, including the establishment of nine more fast-track courts under the POCSO Act and Sexual Assault Response Teams in all the 27 police districts of the state to deal with cases of sexual attacks on women.

Chandigarh: Health and Family Welfare Minister Punjab Balbir Singh Sidhu today handed over appointment letters to 96 Multipurpose Health Workers (MPHWs). Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Hussan Lal was specially present on the occasion.
Disclosing this here today the Health Minister said that out of the total 200 sanctioned posts of Multipurpose Health Workers, appointment letters were today given to 96 Multipurpose Health Workers. While the remaining posts will be filled in phased manner as soon as possible. All these appointments are being made by the Department of Health and Family Welfare in a transparent manner on the basis of merit.
