A proposed 144-unit affordable housing project in East Providence failed to get tax stabilization support from the city council, but the developer said the project will continue.
Congressman Seth Magaziner said the federal funding will be used to make upgrades beneficial to students' education and safety. The improvements include expanding the academy's sensory room, renovating the kitchen and replacing aging infrastructure.
