Knoxville Entrepreneur Center launches Made for Knoxville campaign
“Made for Knoxville” is a print and social media campaign and storytelling website initiated by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center to elevate awareness of Knoxville’s diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem ranging from “solo-preneurs,” makers, growth stage tech companies, investors, and established institutions.
Made for Knoxville shines the light on the big wins, everyday hustles, and ongoing challenges that our entrepreneurial ecosystem faces in unprecedented times - through an incredible collection of original interview videos, profiles of nearly one hundred entrepreneurs, and original blog articles by Knoxville legend Jack Neely.

SUMMIT, N.J., May 14, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Family Promise, the nation s leading nonprofit addressing family homelessness, has announced the continuation of their partnership with Clayton®, a national home builder of site-built and off-site built homes. Through the partnership, which launched in November of 2019, Clayton and Family Promise aim to prevent more than 700 families from becoming homeless in 2021, through educational outreach educational outreach and resource development, comprehensive case management, support services, and non-traditional, affordable housing solutions for graduate families, such as off-site built housing and transitional housing.
Clayton supports Family Promise s mission to eliminate family homelessness through prevention and diversion grants along with transitional home donations.

BlueCross Foundation providing $250,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation is giving $250,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to help meet the needs of community members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This gift provides additional support following the $500,000 the foundation awarded to Second Harvest in March.
Food banks across the state have been facing increased demand since the onset of the
pandemic, as many Tennesseans turn to them for support. While many organizations have been able to sustain operations throughout 2020, donations are leveling off and the beginning of 2021 remains uncertain.
