We are excited for our second Family Fun Science Boxterpieces! It’s time to use your creativity and (mostly) recycled supplies to build a masterpiece. Will you use cardboard, tape, and paper towel rolls to make a garage for toy cars? How about boxes, foil, and tape to make an astronaut costume? We will set out the boxes, paper towel rolls, tape, and much more; you dream up what to do with them.

This program has lots of fun materials, so we will be in the Yusunas Meeting Room in the lower level to give us more space.

We have space in this program for 10 families. Please register your entire family as one registration.

For more information or help with registration, please contact Laura at lauraw@dkpl.org or (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
Event Description
It may still be cold out, but we’re getting ready for green growing things! This month in Family Fun Science, we’ll be dissecting a plant bulb and experimenting with coloring cabbage leaves. Can you make a cabbage leaf change color? What’s really inside a bulb you plant inside the ground?
Join us for a live demonstration at our Facebook Live event at 10:00 a.m. on March 6. The event will be recorded so you can watch it again later.
Beginning March 6, our program kits will be available on a first come, first served basis through curbside pick-up at the library (while supplies last). Each kit will contain a real plant bulb, cabbage leaves, and food coloring.
