Faculty members went down each hallway at Watson Chapel High School on Sunday and anointed every classroom, office and cafeteria doorway with oil, praying over each location for teachers and students to have a successful school year, which begins today in the district.
Pastors, city officials, police officers and firefighters came together Wednesday at Pine Bluff’s Central Park to fight violent crime through prayer. The city has seen an uptick in shootings that have killed four people age 17 or younger from July 11-16.
The small but sometimes reserved crowd of 16 inside the Townsend Park recreation center took a little time before warming up to share ideas with Go Forward Pine Bluff officials on how to improve the city.
