Addiction support teams up with GCU

FAAS (Family Addiction Support Service) who offers support to families dealing with a loved one’s drug or alcohol use, has been working with Glasgow Caledonian University students. The organisation, who recently moved to the building at 209 Govan Road, is now developing links with other universities to support students and give them a taste of a real working environment. Lorraine McGoldrick, service manager of FAAS, explained: “We have had a psychology student, from Glasgow Caledonian University, finish her first-year placement with us and she will be coming back to do her second-year placement.
