MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) A federally funded emergency rental assistance program created to help Vermonters during the pandemic is being phased out as funding is exhausted.
Vermont will begin phasing out its federally funded rental assistance as funding has begun drying up. New applications will no longer be accepted beginning on Oct. 1.
Some people want to see the hotel/motel program expansion continue past December 31, but the Scott Administration's comprehensive housing plan believes that they'll have a plan to house those who are coming close to their 84-day limit.
