Book telling history of Falmouth in the 60s raising money for cancer charity Falmouth life in the 1960s is the theme of the latest local history book written and published by retired Cornish journalist Mike Truscott in aid of Cancer Research UK. It is the fifth in his series but the first to focus exclusively on how things were in a particular decade. His chapters are accompanied by bespoke verse created by Penryn poet Nick Castle and the book is also notable for the final article for publication written by the late former local MP David Mudd. David, an accomplished author, broadcaster, journalist and historian, wrote the chapter headed “Why Falmouth And The Sea Are In My Blood” shortly before he died in April last year.
