concerns about a slowdown in china. brian ennis is live with more. all eyes will be on the chinese market which opens at 9:00 p.m. eastern tonight. for years, the market has been betting on china as its growth. but this last week new indications that china s economy is contracting, falling chinese demand for commodities like iron, copper and oil negatively affecting marketing worldwide. china devalued their currency hurting u.s. goods. it s more expensive for chinese people to import and buy u.s. products making them less likely to do so. this is a communist country. if they say we re going to devalue our currency, we re going to push it lower, that means all chinese products coming into the u.s. are much cheaper than u.s. products. so as americans we re going to want to find the value. so when we go shopping, we re going to want to buy the cheaper
