Li-Ning recently made major waves by signing X NINE member Xiao Zhan as a brand ambassador, simultaneously emphasizing its in-house apparel designs and reinforcing the company’s domestic pride. Now, Li-Ning’s progressive footwear designs again take center stage as part of its Fall/Winter 2021 runway presentation, “Model, Remodel.”
Alongside a new selection of sleek wearables, Li-Ning presented an expansive array of adventurous sneaker silhouettes, ranging from cozy lounging silhouettes to streamlined runners to Dwayne Wade’s latest signature sneaker. The designs run the gamut from the cozy one make features plush padded uppers and a huge chunky outsole to the technical, with plenty of shoes sporting high-spec accents like COBRA buckles, BOA lacing, Cordura trim and molded midsoles, including some that feature Li-Ning’s “BOOM” cushioning.

Picking up right where Spring/Summer 2021 left off, tac:tac‘s Fall/Winter 2021 is another thoughtful selection of dramatically oversized apparel. Enormous overcoats, jackets, shirts and trousers crop up throughout the collection, demonstrating a consistent vision of genderless, ageless garments designed for comfort rather than trend.
Some garments seem drawn from the archives of Issey Miyake, whose eponymous company oversees tac:tac’s seasonal output. Miyake’s touch can be seen in the pleated snoods, Windcoat-like outerwear and clever textile exploration, like hybrid garments that blend slick nylon with pile fleece. Of course, even the similarly-minded goods are distinct, owing much to tac:tac’s inimitable design ethos.

Enfants Riches Déprimés unveils its Fall/Winter 2021 via visual endeavor “Xeropiturra”. The collection was styled by Arianne Phillips and the film features Zoe Bleu Arquette and Dylan Saje McKay. Cue Courtney Love’s instantly recognizable raspy voice narrating a special introduction, the video unravels into an avalanche of emotions synced to an equally tumultuous soundscape.
