When the local story detailing the way she spearheaded the establishment of a Mary Washington Hospital Associate Team Pantry published in early August, Stacy Mason found herself caught in a whirl of publicity.
The ICU nurse, whoâs often found herself at the forefront of caring for patients with COVID-19, said the rush of attention caught her by surprise.
âI never thought it would really get more attention. I was just doing it for associates and friends and coworkers,â not for any acclaim, said the married mother of two, who lives in Fauquier County. âIt took off to such a level, nationally and internationally.â
