Princess Anne, King Charles III sister and a group of MPs, are currently in the Falkland Islands and the following arrangements have been made for Friday 18 November 2022 to enable Her Royal Highness and the All Party Parliamentarian Group to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Falkland Islands.
At a ceremony Tuesday morning held at Staffordshire s National Memorial Arboretum, British prime minister Boris Johnson praised the daring bravery of Veterans, recalling that on the very day, exactly forty years ago, British soldiers entered Stanley and liberated the Falkland Islands from foreign occupation. And since Liberation, the Falkland Islands have lived and thrived in peace and freedom looking into the future.
Britain s Royal Marines Charity has set a challenge for its supporters, wherever they are in the world, to run, walk or cycle 5.6 miles in June to mark 40 years since the liberation of the Falkland Islands and raise money.
