Reports are claiming that Falkirk s Mark Kerr is to come on trial at Town. The 18-year-old has long been a target of the Blues, but they are concerned that the level of football he is playing at the moment (Scottish First Division) isn t of a high enough standard for him to be properly judged.
Town midfielder Sean Friars pleaded guilty to the charge of drink-driving in court yesterday. The Northern Irish player was arrested on Saturday in Beechcroft Road and was charged with a number of offences.
Reports from a not always reliable football website suggest that Town are interested in Falkirk s Mark Kerr. The 18-year-old Scot is also being linked with Newcastle, Manchester City and Everton, so the story does look to be speculative.
It is being reported that Town are to give a trial to Heerenveen youngster Marc Van Eijk. The Dutch club are another team that Town have forged links with recently and this may just be a trial to give the player experience rather than Town looking to bring in the player.
