As a last resort, Karwar City Municipal Council has decided to put up the signboards with a warning.
KARWAR: Unable to control littering in public places, Karwar City Municipal Council has adopted a new method to check the nuisance. It will put up signboards all over the city warning people about the presence of snakes in the respective areas so they do not litter.
It is a common practice in coastal Karnataka to put up such sign in private places indicating the presence of snakes. This is used to prevent people from trespassing in private places, protect valuables and horticulture produce and also check theft.
