With 15,085 votes, former CM Okram Ibobi Singh defeated his closest rival BJP candidate Leitanthem Basanta in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly polls.
With six Assembly Constituencies from Thoubal district and four from Kakching district, a total of 22 assembly constituencies will go to polls in the second phase of the 12th Manipur general assembly elections.
