At least 20 people died while 21 others were injured on Friday morning when a passenger bus overturned on the Karakoram Highway in Gilgit-Baltistan's Diamer district, rescue officials said.
The driver lost control of the vehicle which then overturned and landed near the banks of the Indus River which runs along the highway, the official said. There were 43 passengers aboard the bus when the accident took place, the official said.
