After Soorarai Pottru, Aparna Balamurali is returning to Malayalam for director Praveen Prabharam’s second feature, titled Ula. Prithviraj released the first-look poster on his Facebook page.Speaking about the film, Praveen tells us that it’s a “women-centric subject” that revolves around a beautiful, happy family impacted by one incident and how the protagonist reacts to it.
Praveen made his directorial debut with the Tovino Thomas-starrer Kalki. Ula, however, will see Praveen going in a different direction. “Ula is not going to be a mass film like Kalki. I’m excited to try out something different this time,” he says.

Operation Java, the action moves to cyberspace. Tharun says he developed the story based on real-life incidents. “The basic thread of
Operation Java is derived from a few cybercrime cases that came under the jurisdiction of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Delhi police,” he says. The investigation thriller releases on February 12.

Dulquer Salmaan has announced his fourth production which wrapped up filming recently. Directed by Prasobh Vijayan, the film features Shine Tom Chacko, Dhruvan, and Ahaana Krishna. Bitto Davis and Sreekanth Dasan, who have appeared in Angamaly Diaries, are also part of the cast. Ishq-fame Ratheesh Ravi penned the story and script during the lockdown. The team had filmed in complete secrecy at Aluva, Ernakulam. The title and first-look are to be revealed by the end of the month.
“Things got rolling so fast when Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films decided to come on board,” says Prasobh, adding that it was written initially as a small film but expanded in scale when Dulquer became involved.
