Mosque and Madressa classes will not resume until April 12 at the earliest Madressas will remain closed on March 8 in line with government policy on ‘out of school’ sessions. During the lockdown, pupils have been taking part in online classes much like schools. These pupils would normally attend the mosque or madressa between 5pm and 7pm each evening. In Lancashire there are more than 100 madressas. The Lancashire Resilience Forum has updated its advice for faith-based education, such as madressas and urged them to continue online until 12 April at the earliest . Madressas have in the past opened and then closed in line with policy relating to schools which are all due to open to all students on March 8.
