Great men on whose shoulders i stand. Do what they did. I followed their footsteps. Find something you love and Everything Else will work out. [applause]. I use to, this is really corny, i love teaching young people. Along those lines came to questions at the end of the semester i would ask my kids to spend five minutes writing their obituary how they wanted to read. After five minutes there was always deadly quiet. They have really been asked a few brave souls to read out what they had written. Not one of them said i was the richest lawyer in town. Or have the fastest car or the biggest house. Everyone every one of them spoke about being useful to their community. And their family. And their friends. I asked my students do me a favor, hold onto that. Stick it in your desk drawer. And when you are feeling blue or you had doubts about where your life is going, take a look at that. Booktv continues now on cspan2, television for serious readers. Good afternoon, everybody. Its a pleasure to be with you and this merges several of my interests. The constitution, conservative politics , books about those things, the Heritage Foundation and my friends jason and julie j fitz. This date holds records including the most successful points after touchdown scored in a single game and i think in a single season. And he was also famous for the fact immediately after he kicked a field goal for or pat, the helmet would come off and then he had this awesome slow jog to the sidelines and he became known as the chaffetz and it resulted in something called the chaffetz rule but i actually think it played a key role in his success as a statesman in the state of utah. People came to know him and they knew who he was. I remember many years later, long after he had played for byu and had a successful career

Im delighted to welcome you all to the postlabor day gathering, a celebration, celebration of the publication of this this timely, important new book by my colleagues. When youre a leader and you get your face chiseled into Mount Rushmore or your picture on a coin, its not because you did nothing during your time in office. Its not because you waited out the term. Its because you took Big Decisions that affected the fate of your nation, often at moments of great crisis. Often decisions that were unpopular or that risked that this would be your last term in office. But decisions that reflected your vision about the direction of your nation and your people. And if you made it to rushmore or if you made it on a coin, its because decades later your people looked back and said, thank you for having the boldness, for having the courage to take those decisions. Israel today is remarkably a strong, selfconfident country for many reasons far
