FARMERS MARKET TO REOPEN, VISITORS URGED TO BE AWARE OF PARKING By John Smathers
The Punxsutawney Farmers Market is set to return on May 7.
The market will be located along South Findley Street near the IUP Fairman Center and will open from 9:00 am to noon every Friday until October 1.
Punxsutawney Borough Manager Toby Santik said IUP administrators have allowed the borough to utilize the parking lot. However, visitors are not permitted to park in IUP designated parking spots as classes will be held during the time the market is open. Santik urged visitors to be aware and respectful of the IUP parking spaces and noted rest of the lot belongs to the borough and can be used for parking.
