Two of the vehicles need to be towed out of the way. You see the back up across the span. Lets show you the map here. This is creating quite a back up. Not just to the toll plaza but beyond. East shore freeway through past powell, its congested and also westbound 580 as well. There is a new report of a crash. A couple of crashes, they popped up in this back up. One of them at westbound 80, it connects with westbound 580. Also another crash just before the toll plaza. Give yourself extra time if you can, maybe take bart or figure out some other way to get in to the city if this is your commute. Temperatures have gone all below average here. Doesnt matter if its coast, bay or inland. Even at livermore, 79 at 85 degrees. That didnt take long as we say. We talked about the cold water temps. 53, 55. If youre heading to the monterey peninsula. I would take the jacket. Now, they sometimes do get the sun there. But i dont think the fog will and its going to be in the low 60s with an onshore breeze. A lot of fog now. 54, 55. I doubt that changes. Highs probably in the low 60s. The spin in the atmosphere is moving fast. But boy, that gave us the gust of 35, 45 Miles Per Hour for some. 50s on most of the temps. There are 60s. One observation. Napa down to 51. Thats really cool. Wood acre at 49 degrees. Tiburon also at 51. Also have cold readings this morning. No doubt about it, onshore wind. Fog and low clouds will retreat slowly. Former San Francisco mayor willie brown told us this morning that mayor lee died of a heart attack. Employees at a Safeway Store says that the mayor collapsed in the store last night. Ed lee became San Franciscos 43rd mayor. The first asianamerican mayor in San Francisco when he was appointed in 2011 by the board of supervisors when Gavin Newsome resigned to become lieutenant governor.
