Fairfield High School in Butler County will host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, according to a release from Fairfield City Schools.
Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available at the site, which is open to the public. Officials said students ages 12-17 who are in sports or clubs are especially encouraged to sign up.
The Pfizer vaccine, which is the only COVID-19 vaccine currently approved for children under the age of 18, was hard to come by in Butler County earlier this spring. The Butler County General Health District only received Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines until May 20, when officials said the first shipment of Pfizer was delivered to their department.
