An El Paso man was arrested on a capital murder charge Monday in connection with the death of a 1-year-old baby last week, police officials said.
The baby died Friday at El Paso Children s Hospital from injuries that doctors described as non-accidental, police said in a news statement.
Homicide detectives arrested Marvin Rex Lake, 24, who was supposed to have been caring for the boy and two siblings while their mother was at work, police said.
An investigation began early April 13 after the baby was taken to El Paso Children s Hospital with a skull fracture and several other injuries, police said.
