Akron seeks to keep residents in stable housing by creating a new intiative, Home Connection Service, in partnership with Fair housing Contact Service, a local nonprofit.
The key recommendations include a right-to-counsel program and more education on landlord and tenant rights. The report was developed based on discussions from the city's first Eviction Prevention Summit in April.
