But you don’t have to go that far to take part in what will be one of the best Pride Month events planned for Carbondale.<br/><br/>The Varsity is proud to dedicate its upcoming monthly drag variety show to the Pride movement and all it stands for. The show begins at 7 p.m. Friday, June 17. Doors and the Varsity Bar open at 6. Join emcee and performer Blanche DuBois, who’s drag history in Southern Illinois is rich and storied. Joining Blanche will be Jodie Santana, Faim Lee Jewls, Leiyana Santana, Idina Rimes, Kailey Santana.
