One Dead in Rural Clarksville Traffic Accident
One person has died in a traffic accident late Wednesday night (April 21), near Clarksville, in Butler County.
The Iowa State Patrol was called to the accident scene, just before 10:30pm. It happened at the intersection of Highway 3 and Ridge Avenue, south of Clarksville.
A minivan was headed north on Ridge Avenue, and failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection.

A westbound car struck the van on the passenger side, and both vehicles went into the ditch.

One person was killed in the accident, however the Iowa State Patrol is withholding any more information until relatives can be notified.

Over the past few decades, the U.S. government has spent hundreds of millions of dollars hunting down new viruses in animals, largely wild animals, in hopes of stopping a pandemic. And yet those efforts failed to find â and stop â SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, before it spread around the world.
