Mar 3, 2021 Faiferlick Martial Arts, 567 S. 25th St., is hosting a free Women Empowered Self Defense Kickoff Seminar on Thursday. The class starts at 7 p.m. It will be led by a certified female instructor. During the class, some techniques from the 15-lesson program will be shared. Participants will learn how to neutralize the 20 most common attacks ranging from having your hair grabbed to being pinned to the ground by a weapon-bearing assailant. Each one-hour Women Empowered lesson addresses two techniques. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience. Ages 13 and up are encouraged to participate. One participant will win a free Women Empowered Boot Camp, a $275 value. Must be present to win.
