CHARLESTON, S.C. – Head Coach Pat Kelsey and his staff have signed six newcomers, who will join the College of Charleston men’s basketball program for the 2021-22 season.
“I am thrilled to welcome our staff’s first six signees to Our City!” Kelsey said. “Cougar Nation can expect an instant impact with these young men. They all bring a unique skill set to the table, but they are all united in their traits of toughness and competitiveness – two of our program’s pillars. They are winners and exemplify our culture.”

RADFORD, Va. – Jaheam Cornwall scored a game-high 22 points and freshmen Jordan Sears and Anthony Selden combined for 30 points off the bench to lead Gardner-Webb to a 77-49 road win at second-place Radford Thursday night.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs (10-14, 9-10 Big South) completed the series sweep and delivered the Highlanders (13-11, 12-6) their worst loss of the season.
Cornwall scored 13 of his points in the decisive second half after pushing Gardner-Webb to a 33-23 lead at the break. The ‘Dogs shot 51.9 percent in that opening 20 minutes and got even hotter in the second half.
2021/02/05 09:44 RADFORD, Va. (AP) Chyree Walker scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to carry Radford to a 63-61 win over South Carolina Upstate on Thursday night. The Highlanders saw a 10-point second half lead evaporate but held USC Upstate scoreless for the last 1:40 to hang on. Xavier Lipscomb made one of two free throws with four seconds left for Radford. Lewis Djonkam had 14 points for Radford (12-7, 11-2 Big South Conference), which earned its sixth consecutive home victory. Shaquan Jules and Dravon Magnum each scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Fah’Mir Ali, the Highlanders’ leading scorer (10 ppg) scored two on 1-for-8 shooting.
